How HireScan Works: End‑to‑End Flow

A comprehensive walkthrough of the full lifecycle—from selecting a plan to reviewing a final risk score—designed to mirror a real hiring workflow.

1) Sign up and pick a plan

Start on the sign‑up flow and choose a pricing tier that matches your expected volume and team size. Your subscription determines usage limits for reference checks and unlocks features.

Tip: You can revisit plan settings anytime in the dashboard under Billing.

2) Join or create an organization

Accept an invite from your team or create a new organization. Organizations keep candidates, reference requests, and usage isolated by company.

3) Configure reference questions

Choose the questions you want referees to answer. You can reuse templates or tailor questions per role or seniority level to capture the strongest signals.

Add a candidate by uploading a CV or entering details manually. Our AI extracts core fields—like name, role, companies, dates—and pre‑populates the profile. Duplicate detection runs automatically to prevent duplicates.

5) Request references

From the candidate’s page, start a reference check. Set how many references you want, confirm questions, and send the request. We email the candidate with a secure link to supply referees.

6) Candidate provides referees

The candidate lists referees (typically mapped to past roles). We guide them to add former managers, peers, and direct reports for balanced signal.

7) Referees answer your questionnaire

Each referee receives a secure link. They answer the configured questions and can optionally add structured examples that boost signal quality.

8) Risk score is computed

As responses arrive, our risk engine aggregates consistency, sentiment, and anomaly signals into a single risk score. You’ll see a clear visual summary on the check detail page.
